Meet Our Founder
Antoine Patton is the founder and executive director of the Photo Patch Foundation. Raised in Buffalo, New York, Antoine officially committed to serving at-risk youth while he was serving an eight-year prison sentence for criminal possession of a weapon. While in prison he learned how to code and pledged to use technology to open doors for others. Released from prison in 2014, Antoine immediately launched the Photo Patch Foundation with plans to serve the 2.7 million youth with parents in prison. More recently, Antoine has been teaching marginalized youth and adults how to develop tech skills. He taught his daughter Jay Jay how to code, leading her to develop a viral app. Antoine has a liberal arts degree from Bard College. He is the author of From Cages to Stages: How S.T.E.M. Changed My Life. Antoine is a 2019 Echoing Green Fellow.
